Dr. Alexander Ekow Asmah is a Chartered Accountant, a Tax Consultant, Certified Fraud Examiner, and a Certified Information Systems Auditor. He is licensed to practice accountancy in Ghana by the Institute of Chartered Accountant, Ghana. He has been involved in several consultancies for several companies in Ghana and West Africa.

His core competencies include financial management, information system auditing, and fraud examination. He has thus provided consulting services for companies and their subsidiaries in countries such as Ghana, Liberia, South Africa, and Sierra Leone in areas of internal control, tax consultancies and information systems audit, and other assurance engagements.

Alexander has worked in various capacities in the past including Audit Partner at AGEN Business Consult; Lecturer in Accounting at Heritage Christian College, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, Internal Audit Manager at United Bank for Africa; Finance Consultant of Rhovanni Royal and Audit Manager at Abossey, Alfsam and Associate. He has also served as Examiner in Accounting and Auditing courses at the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana.
Alexander holds a PhD in Information Systems from University of Cape Town, South Africa. He also holds the following other qualifications: MPhil. (Information Systems) from University of Ghana; and BSc. (Administration) from the Methodist University College, Ghana. Dr. Asmah is a member of the following professional bodies in Ghana: Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Information System Audit and Control Association and Association of Information System. He serves as the Executive Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship Philanthropy and Ethics (CEPE) of Heritage Christian College (HCC) (An NGO set up to provide guidance to young students on setting up sustainable businesses.
Dr. Asmah has attended a number of conferences and workshops both in Ghana and internationally on several topics. He currently serves as a committee member of the ICAG council sub-committee on Information Communication Technology.
